The Rev50 is a 50 watt monster! This beast is a roaring machine! Built mainly for overdrive with humbuckers and P-90s (YES it sounds AWESOME with single coils!), the amp features Volume, Treble, and Bass. The amp's sound had been compared to that of a H*watt meets a M*rsh*ll. Featuring Mercury Magnetics transformers, this amp comes to life and conveys the true sound of the player's notes. The Rev50 features a tube compliment steeped in classic rock. One 5U4 rectifier, two Groove Tubes E34LS power tubes, one Groove Tubes ECC83S phase inverter, and a combination of a Groove Tubes ECC83S and a Groove tubes 12AX7R3 complete the preamp. The controls work beautifully throughout their total range and there is not a bad setting on the amp! The treble and bass controls have an almost active type feel to them. With treble and bass set all the way down the amp has a rather even sound to it, bring them up and the gain increases in their respective frequency range, you can overdrive one and keep the other mildly clean. Not an amp for the faint of heart, this amp will blow your socks off! It is 50 watts so it is a loud machine that is chock full of tone and oozing with warmth. Set this puppy on top of a 412 and get ready to rock! Don't hold back and you will NOT be dissapointed.

Technical Note: When changing power tubes you MUST rebias this amp!!! Stock setup is with EL34s but yes, it can run 6L6s so long as the user uses good, reliable, sturdy tubes like Groove Tubes 6L6S powe tubes. All power tubes that ship with this amp should be in the 4-6 rating on the Groove Tubes scale.
